Meet the latest addition to my shoe collection! 

She doesn't have a name because, I don't know the brand, but I got them on super sale at Nordstrom Rack for less than $25, and the original price was over $100. With a deal like that I couldn't walk away, even though I was only in there to buy hair products.

And speaking of walking, these shoes were not designed to go the distance. I was almost that tacky girl who walks around like her feet are about to fall off. 

But I pulled myself together and within 3 mins, you would have thought I was in Nike's.

The weekend is over and I don't feel refreshed at all (sigh). Whoever came up with 5 days on/2 days off is a nut. 

Anyway, speaking of work, this is what I wore to the J-O-B a couple of weeks ago. I leave it to Gap to help me keep things simple and chic :)

In my LAST POST I was debating on whether I was going to make it a blockbuster weekend because of the pain I've been feeling at the pump. Well, that didn't happen. Instead, I headed out to an ART WALK (a.k.a a massive block party) and this is what I wore...a Zara jacket, and a zebra blouse.

Just a quick post on this Friday night before I figure out if I want to do anything or not. With gas prices at $5 a gallon. It might be a blockbuster night weekend. 

It was so hot and fabulous this week, that it really didn't make sense to wear anything other than a sundress. But of course the office AC always calls for something on your arms...

The fact that it takes me forever to wear something new is a huge reason I'm not that big on trends. I bought this high-low skirt way back in May when I was in Waikiki, and I didn't wear until Labor Day, not to mention I'm just now getting around to posting it #late. Anyway, I'm not really into the high-low thing anymore and I'm really considering taking it to my seamstress and making it one length...

I love horses, I love an excuse to dress up, we all know I love food (and mimosas), so it only makes sense that my first experience at the Turf Club at Golden Gate Fields was a fun one. I’ll be back, with more money to spend and win, and maybe even a hat.

is it a dress?

Ummm, so I really don't know if this is a shirt or a dress. It looks like a dress in these pictures, but if you see it in person, it's kind of pushing the envelope, it's kind of thin and my uncertainty about it's intended use is why I've had it for almost a year and never wore it. Well, when trying to figure out what to wear to a club, a place I don't venture to often, I figured if there was ever an appropriate time to go out in public wearing a shirt as a dress, this would be it. So I went for it :)

back to school cool

When I think of typical back to school looks I think argyle, pleated skirts, and sweater vests (it’s the Catholic school girl in me) but for fall 2012, if you went into any classroom from preschool on up, what do you think is the big trend? Colored denim! I am done with school for the rest of my life…God willing, and I wore this on a day trip to Santa Cruz, but with the big tote, funky flats, and youthful colors, I could just as easily be headed to my first day of school.

How did/do people dress in your high school and college? I went to an all girl’s college (Spelman) and it was a fashion show for sure. Of course you had people who kept it casual, but a girl walking around in a LBD and 5 inch Prada pumps wasn’t exactly out of place…
