timepiece

These pictures were taken towards the end of my NYC trip when the weather was cooling off and my feet were hurting from heels, hence the jacket and the flats.

Thanks for all the hair compliments and questions. Quite a few people have a requested a hair post. Stay tuned!!!

watercolors

Thank you to everyone who voted for me to win the CBS San Francisco Most Valuable Blogger award. I WON!!! I really, truly appreciate all the support :):):)
My favorite thing about this outfit is my hair. Haha.
I got a $35 NYC Dominican blowout (yes that's pricey for NYC but the shop is in Midtown) and I was whipping my hair back and forth all weekend ;)
My next favorite thing about the look is up for debate.
It's either the lining of this blazer because I'm a true sucker for details.
But I also really LOVE these woven covered platform slingbacks. I think it's a tie...

nyc in pictures

I spent the last 10 days in New York city, and while I have fun every time I visit, this was probably my most memorable experience. I think it was a combination of the fashion week energy, the great weather and the fact that my b/f has a place there now so it felt like my new home away from home. Here is a bit of picture overload...

Lincoln Center where the street style surely rivaled what was going on behind those tents
Bryant Park is my favorite place to grab a sandwich and rest my feet
My first visit to Madison Square Park, home of the original Shake Shack and this enormous face
I actually didn't get a chance to treat myself to Shake Shack this time because I was too busy stuffing my face at new restaurants...6 restaurants in 10 days to be exact
Empire State of Mind
Slowly becoming more comfortable with solo subway rides
Spent some time furniture browsing in Brooklyn Down Under the Manhattan Bride Overpass (DUMBO)
New York is not New York without an absurd amount of traffic, horns blowing, people yelling, and of course a sea of yellow cabs
And last but not least, an interesting angle of my NYC home away from home

ebew: colored pants

Hello! I'm coming to you live from NYC. I normally don't post while I am away, but I am going to be gone for a bit longer, and I wanted to participate in the EVERYBODY EVERYWEAR colored pants challenge. I got these puppies at Zara some months ago, and they were love at first try!
I'm having a ball on my trip. On this particular day, I had brunch in Soho at DELICATESSEN. They are known for their mac & cheese and celebrity sightings. I didn't get the mac & cheese, but if you follow me on TWITTER, you probably already know that I did spot NBA player, Shawn Marion. From here we headed to Madison Square Park. It's a part of the city I had never been to, and I like it a lot :) Can't wait to share more with you later....

5 days and counting

We are down to the last 5 days to get your votes in HERE and you won't have to hear me talk about the CBS blog award anymore! Regardless of the outcome, I feel like a winner because of all your support and kind words :)
Last time I wore this skirt (HERE) I thought adding a pink top would help play up the colors, but I actually think white does a better job at showcasing the "rainbow".
And I figured by going basic on top, I could mix it up on the bottom, and that is where the leopard heels come into play.
I layered this skirt with another fuller skirt underneath to give it more volume, and I think it did the trick. It's my DIY petticoat ;)
It's also 5 days until I leave for NY and I would love to get in another post before I go, but with the start of school and an internship, that's not going to happen. However, I will do my best to post at least once while I am away and I will be reading all your lovely blogs, and of course you can follow me on TWITTER. I will for sure be sharing all my excitement about being in NY for the first time during Fashion Week.
