last but not least

Photobucket
These are the final pictures from my Boston trip! I should be back out there in a couple of months when it's warmer, and I am not forced to take all of my pictures in the dorm. I really adore this chunky cardigan, and I actually think I'm going to wear it this week to work while the weather is still mild enough for it.
Photobucket
These earmuffs were an essential part of my trip. Don't think I would have survived the frigid temps without them. It was a much cheaper option than buying a coat with a hood.
Photobucket
I took this picture in the fitting room of Banana Republic. For once, my b/f was doing all the shopping. I didn't buy one thing while I was in Boston! Actually, I bought him a sweater :)

express coat, macys necklace, authentic pashmina from my parents trip to turkey (thanks mom!) preston & york earmuffs, h&m cardigan, badgley mischka bag, 9west boots

Finally getting around to passing along this blog award from Nina and it is going to Mode Junkie. Her style is definitely over the top!

zara leather jacket, banana top, urban jeans, dolce vita boots, marc by marc bag

This is what I threw on to meet my friend for dinner and drinks Saturday night. From far away it looks like I'm wearing all black, but as you can see, there are splashes of color everywhere on my top, and my jeans are actually blue ;) I broke my necklace on my way to the restaurant (thanks F21), but we ended up eating dinner outside, so luckily my leather jacket never had to come off, and it hid my bare neck.

Photobucket
zara blazer, target top, urban pants, 9west boots, michael kors bag and watch, access badge for show :)

You would think one of the
most exciting things about my job would be going to shows and looking for product. Oddly enough, I always dread it the night before, end up enjoying it while I am there, but feel completely exhausted by the end of the day, which is why I think I dread it so much each and every time.

The pics above is what I wore to the Atlanta Shoe Show this past Friday, and THIS is what I wore to the last show back in August. Is my lack of enthusiasm this go round apparent based on my outfit choice? I will say I am excited that we are going to be working with Bass (fingers crossed). Remember them for their schoolgirl oxfords? Well, their new Fall line is awesome! I don't think I owned any back in the day, but I can’t wait to get myself a pair now!

One of these days, I will do a post on shoe trends for Fall based on what I saw at the show...

top from local boutique, urban pants, christian louboutin booties

Remember the CL booties I treated myself to for Christmas, that were too small and sold out everywhere?? Well I found them!!!! I was supposed to wear them in Boston to this little sexy place called Red Sky, but somehow I ended up at a Jersey Shore themed party in Harvard Square. Needless to say I was way overdressed for a sweaty grad school party with sticky floors (my poor soles). However, I did end up having a good time and I was able to end the night at the W. Somehow I manage to end up at the W no matter what city I am in.

I apologize for the bad dorm room pictures :-/

Boston was a delight. I didn't want to come back, but at the same time I am happy to be back. After two weekends away in a row, I feel like I’m behind on so much, namely my DVR and blogging. I’m looking forward to playing catch up this weekend.

This is what I wore to work last Friday before my flight. The skirt length is probably borderline inappropriate for the office. However, because my carryon was literally busting at the seams, I had to conserve space and wear to work what I planned on wearing to dinner and drinks in Boston. I tried to lay low that day, but my coworker was obsessing over my shoes and kept telling people to go to my desk and check them out. Grrrrrrr!!!!

I got two blog awards, that I need to pass along. The first one is from Sissy of Sissy a la Mode and it is going to go to the lovely Missy Kimmy of Strawberry Stiletto. Check out her site if you haven’t already. It’s pretty fantastic.

I literally just got in from Boston. I should be headed to bed, but before I do, I have to give my love to the
SAINTS and their much deserved victory last night! So exciting...so much so that I hear N.O. schools had the day off today!

This was my version of Saints gear. The b/f didn't agree :-/Did he think I was going to wear a jersey? Riiiight.....

gal pals

I am back from DC and I had a wonderful time! Great company, beautiful scenery, delicious food, a swank hotel…what more could a girl ask for?

This weekend I’m off to Boston to see the b/f!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I knew what I was packing, but I’m leaning more towards comfort and warmth than fun and cute. Ugh! I really hate packing, and I am really ready for Spring.

Thanks to Sissy & Nina for my blog awards. They are my first two :) I’ll be sure to pass them along and visit everyone's blog who left me a comment after I’ve recuperated from my two weekends away.Photobucket

all mixed up

Photobucket
(zara leather jacket, american apparel skirt)

I wore the above outfit to a champagne lounge Christmas night and when I put it on I thought "wow, I am all over the place". Tie dye skirt, plaid scarf, polka dot tights...basically every clashing print I could pull out of my suitcase. Haha. And for some strange reason, I didn't feel the urge to change :)

Below is a much more toned down variation of the outfit from last summer.

a story to tell...

So my most adorable nephew took these pictures for me while I was home, and I told him he is giving my b/f a run for his money as the best photog around. Because he’s a kid, 9 to be exact, he did what kids do and just started shooting with no rhyme or reason and that’s how we ended up with great candids like this

Photobucket

And then, because he is young and cool and up to date on all the latest technology he was able to get some great affects on the pictures…also known as blur and awkward lighting ;)

Photobucket

After he had gotten 15 or more shots, it became a game to him, and I practically had to wrestle him for the camera back, all while he was still snapping away of course!

Photobucket

But in the end, because he took so many pictures I had a lot of great shots to choose from and that is why he just may be my fav photographer ever!
