white out

zara blazer, urban jeans, bcbgirls shoes, badgley mischka bag, michael kors wacth

Anyone follow the no white after Labor Day rule? Clearly I don't :) Minus the open toe shoes, I think this is a look that translates well year round, which is why I wore it last Friday to work.

I bought the Badgley Mischka bag a couple of months ago, and not too long after that I picked up this Michael Kors tortoise watch to go with it. Now that it's Fall you will probably be seeing a lot more of both!!

Here's a better picture of the watch...

I hope to post a few pics from Chicago soon!

school days

banana jacket, urban top, anthro skirt

I wore this to work a few days ago and my department intern told me I looked like a school girl :( Not exactly the look I was going for. O well, I guess you win some, you loose some. I'm off to Chicago tomorrow. Everyone enjoy their weekend. I sure hope to despite the fact that I am overworked, overtired and SICK!
P.S. excuse my messy room in the background. I had no intentions of posting this picture. I was playing dress up...

fashion police

I didn't watch the Emmy's but I did watch the Fashion Police on E!. Here are some of the highlights for me:

only heidi can make pregnant look so good.

i don't know why, but i like this a lot. maybe it's b/c her face is so stunning. i just wish she would have chosen a different shoe.

in the words of rachel zoe "i die". this picture does not do this dress justice at all.

simple elegance! i think her body looks amazing in this dress.

love, love, love. this color is gorgeous, the neckline is fab, and the necklace is perfect.

the fashion police hated it. i don't mind it.

platinum

old navy tank, tocs watch, f21 necklace and skirt

Thanks to a friend of a friend, I kinda sorta figured out how to photograph myself!!!!!! I haven't fully gotten the hang of it, but trust me, these pics are way better than what I was doing, and hopefully they will continue to get better with time.

On to the outfit...this is what I wore last Friday night to the club. I realized two things that night 1) I'm almost at that age where I am too old for the club 2) The zipper on the back of this skirt is not just for aesthetics. Number 1 I realized right away, unfortunately number 2 didn't dawn on me until the end of the night when I nearly busted my a** trying to walk up stairs :(

flying high

urban cardi, old navy tee, american appeal skirt, bcbgirls heels, kenneth cole watch, f21 necklace

I've been more adventurous with my work clothes lately. In the past, I would have NEVER worn a fitted high waisted skirt to work, but the new me doesn't care :) Especially because I really, really, like this particular look for work.

I think I am going to be doing more and more mirror pics these days. I tried to do the self pic option using the timer on my camera, but I can't figure out how to get full body pics. So until I do, this is what you get :)

Did anyone check out the September Issue? I went into the movie thinking it was going to be about Anna Wintour's life, but I guess if I had read the synopsis, I would have known it was all about how the September Issue comes to formation. It's actually fairly similar to what I do at work. Very interesting...

hello lover

zara boyfriend blazer, f21 skirt, 9west booties

This is what I wore on my date with the b/f the night before he was moving to Boston. That night was very reminiscent of the Sex & The City episode when Big moves to the West Coast. The one thing missing was my "hello lover" Louboutins. I had planned on getting all dolled up, but I got off work an hour late, and had to wear what I wore that day. Despite my outfit snafu, the evening was perfect :)

Thank God I am lucky ;)

what's cooking?

j crew cardi, urban dress, jessica simpson shoes

I love aprons. I know it's a strange thing to love, but Anthropoligie has the cutest friggin aprons. I don't wear them to cook now, but I will when I am a wife. In the meantime, I buy dresses that remind me of aprons, like the one in the picture, and I pair them with cardigans that don't match anything, but the color is fab and the material is soft ;)

How cute are these Anthro aprons???

fall preview

express (minus the) leather vest, old navy white tee, target necklace, urban pants, 9west booties, m by mj bag

It's been a while...took a break from blogging to spend some QT with the b/f before he headed to b-school. And not to mention, I am still uninspired by my clothes and have been very lazy with my fashion choices lately. I think I am ready for fall, hence the outfit in today's post...

I wore this (minus the) leather vest from Express a few weeks ago...MISTAKE! I was so hot. I was determined to break it out, and now that I have, it will stay in my closet until fall is really here.

P.S. This is the best piece of faux leather I've ever come across. I ONLY knew it was fake b/c of the lack of smell, and price. Other than that, Express had me totally fooled.
