BLACK & WINE

I stuck to what I said in my last post & I went with a black dress with pops of, color (wine specifically) last Sunday for Easter. And speaking of wine, if you follow me on INSTAGRAM and/or Snapchat (@iamsimplychic) you know that I gave up alcohol for Lent, along with sweets & chips...basically all things delicious. And since being off the wagon last Sunday, I've been to Napa TWICE!  Ay yai yai. Don't judge me. More on that in my next post!

WHAT TO WEAR: EASTER SUNDAY

Hey lovelies. Happy Holy Week! Whether you go to church once in a blue moon or every Sunday you want to look your best on Easter Sunday, right? I'm thinking this year I'll wear a black dress that has some pops of color in it, but today I am showing you a more traditional Easter look. I'm sure the church will be full of pink this Sunday, but how many people will be pattern mixing? What do you plan to wear?

SHOE GAME

When your overall style is simple yet chic, you must have a strong shoe game! Cause a pair of jeans with a white top (my uniform) can be seen as just plain boring simple, until you add the right shoe — and jacket. Thank you Zara for both. Happy Monday folks!

 I've been wanting over-the-knee boots since last year, and now that I have some, I am living in them! 

My favorite way to wear them is just as I have them here — paired with a mini baby doll dress. 

With over-the-knee boots, I think it's easy to look overtly and/or overly sexy, and hey if that's the look you are going for no judgement here. But a short, long sleeve, flowy dress with these boots is more my speed.

NYE

We are a month into the new year...can you believe that?! Before you know it, we will be celebrating NYE again. 

And speaking of NYE this is what I wore to ring in 2016. I got this Rachel Roy skirt on super sale over the summer for around $20 and I thought it would the perfect summer day party look dressed down with some Chucks and a tee. Turns out it was the perfect winter NYE party look dressed up with booties and a blouse. HAPPY FEBRUARY FOLKS!!!
