CALI STYLE

When I first moved back to California, I would complain on the blog about people being boring here in terms of style, but on some level I've grown to appreciate it. I mean after all "I Am Simply Chic" and I think on some level that's synonymous with California style. I love denim. I love white tops and I love to build something more interesting around those two things in various ways from bags, to shoes and everything in between. Including blazers with fun linings ;) Happy Monday!

WINTER'S END

FAUXSACE

I love nothing more than to come home on Friday night after a long week of work and sit on my couch with a bottle glass of wine or a cup of tea and indulge in all of the TV goodness I don't have time to watch during the week. 

But every blue moon, when there's a party that's worth the effort, I'll partake. On this particularly night, I threw on my work pumps (I'm having knee issues, so limited in my shoe options) and my Versace "fauxsace" dress and headed to the W for a party. And yes it was worth the effort!

OFFICE CHIC: HOUNDSTOOTH

I've had this skirt for years (as in 5+) and I have no clue why I bought it since until 7 months ago I've never needed to dress up for anything, other than the occasional interview. Nonetheless, I'm glad I bought it and held on to it because it fits nicely into my business casual wardrobe. I think next up, I need a HOUNDSTOOTH PENCIL DRESS.
