Time is winding down for this year and I am ending  things on a high note with one of my favorite discoveries of 2014  — THE CAPE! I guess it's not completely accurate to say I made the discovery this year, but it's 100% true that I fell in love with them this summer while in Paris and back here in the States, I've treated myself to two of them! This lovely grey sweater cape and a tan plaid one that is more of an outerwear piece (coming soon to a blog near you).

 I also fell in love with pearls and brooches this year. Sophisticated much?
