Happy Easter! Don't I look like a good little Catholic school girl who likes to wear 4 inch heels to church ;)
I had planned on wearing a cream poofy dress with big aqua polka dots all over it (a.k.a my stepford wife dress) to mass this morning, but it was raining when I woke up so I had to go with plan B.
This skirt and belt are both from Goodwill. Probably cost me less than $5 for both. I haven't been thrifting since I moved to Cali, but after putting this ensemble together and now that Lent is over, I'm ready to go thrifting!
Everyone enjoy your Sunday whether you celebrate Easter or not :) I'm about to go stuff my face with smoked turkey, and green bean casserole, and crawfish ettouffee, and whatever else I can get my hands on.
wearing: old navy cashmere sweater/sweatshirt, target necklace, thrifted belt and skirt, steve madden luxe heels
worn to: church

p.s. I found my crinoline while thrifting. I was so surprised when I saw it... It was the last thing I expected to stumble across. Prior to finding it, I looked on Ebay but I wasn't sure about any of them. But what you could do is track down a store that sells square dancing clothes and see what you can find. Since a lot of square dancers wear crinolines under their skirts... I hope this helps and that you find one(hopefully by thrifting). =) Also my crinoline was a bit big so I had to take it in. So as long as it's not to small you should get it, and have it tailored if needed.
Great finds, I have never being to a thrift shop, I need to stop by the goodwill by me. Love your skirt.
ReplyDeleteYou are soooo pretty!
