it happened for a reason

freaking heat/humidity!
and mosquitoes!
taken months ago in boston...
also taken months ago in boston...

I was supposed to be headed to NY today, but because of my boyfriend's demanding work schedule, he suggested that I push the trip back a week. Sunday night I was thinking to myself "I know everything happens for a reason...wonder why it wasn't meant for me to go on the trip this week?" And I kid you not, I woke up Monday morning with PINK EYE!!!! Can you believe that?

Anyone have any tips for getting rid of this crap, or care to share their pink eye experience? I need some moral support!

On a happier note SHOUT OUT TO PRISSY MUM FOR FEATURING ME AS A STYLE ICON ON HER BLOG!!!!!! CHECK IT OUT HERE!

  4. Sorry to hear about your eye. Hope you got it checked. I've head pink eye quite a few times. However, the last few times my eye infections were due to contacts so it wasn't pink eye when I thought it was. (so I just had red irritated eyes but i didn't wake up with crusty eyes, i know tmi).

hope you get well soon enough for your trip. it shouldn't last long with immediate treatment.

  7. I found this on the web.Plus I double checked it out in my natural remedies book.

    Natural Pink Eye Remedies

Use a tea bag compress. This folk remedy has been around for many years. Certain teas contain elements that can soothe and even get rid of pink eye symptoms – especially swelling and irritation. Calendula, chamomile, fennel, black and green tea have all been used to great effect. Warm the tea bag(s) up (chill in cold water for allergic conjunctivitis) and then place them on the eye for 10 – 20 minutes.

Visit a Dr to get some antibiotics if the infection gets worse.

    Thanks for the Blog Mention.

  9. I also believe that everything happens for a reason.Your pink eye should clear up pretty soon provided it is not an infection. Your floral top brings out the best in your black skirt. Congratulations, STYLE ICON!

  16. Pink Eye is very annoying, as are mosquitoes. I don't have any remedies except to make a doctor's appointment as soon as possible.
