Between the metallic bow pumps, the sparkles on the bag and the bejeweled top (not to mention the mode I'm in at work), I wanted to start this post with "Happy Holidays!". Too early right? I guess I'll wait until after Halloween and say Happy Monday instead :) 

And for those of you who think my white jeans make this look un-festive, you are obviously not from California where we wear open toe shoes and white year-round.

THE BOMBER

When were bomber jackets first in style? When did they come back in style? Did they ever really go out of style? It seems like all of a sudden bomber jackets are all the rage, however when I think about fashion and how it's evolved it seems like they were always around in some capacity. I remember having a leather bomber about 7+ years ago, and they were part of my school uniform way back in the day, so I guess I've always been into them, but they feel different this time. They come in prints, and fun colors, lighter materials and I've bought 3 in the last month. I don't have a problem though :)

When PILOTMAN reached out to me about partnering with them, I will admit I was a bit confused after I went on their Amazon store and saw they only carry ties. I've never worn a tie before, and I don't review products I don't use/wear, but I do love all things menswear inspired so I decided to go for it!

And I'm glad I did because I love the TIE (which is 100% silk and only $14.99) and the whole look! The colors are so rich and vibrant and they would add a nice pop to any suit, button down or however you chose to wear it. Just look at the difference the tie makes between the picture above and below! 

For you ladies worried about a men's tie being too thick or too long, try it with a buttoned up menswear vest or paired with a button down and worn on the inside of a crew neck sweater. That way, not all of the tie is exposed.

WEDDING GUEST CHIC

So, you remember in my last post I mentioned I didn't wear the heart dress to my cousin's wedding? Well, instead I ended up shopping in my closet and wearing this floral brocade skirt I received c/o of eShakti over a year ago. I love all things kitschy, quirky, novelty, hearty & this dress is all of the above! I was drawn to it in the store because I also love all things black and white, but when I got closer and saw that there were hearts all over it, I knew I had to have it.

I was shopping for a dress to wear to my cousin’s wedding and c’mon—does  it get more perfect than a beautiful, flowy maxi dress with hearts? Well…. 

I actually didn’t end up wearing it to my cousin’s wedding and I honestly can’t remember why but I still love it, and can’t wait for the next best, perfect occasion to put it on and show off my hearty style.
