I went the whole day today thinking it was Wednesday. Literally the WHOLE DAY...it was 20 mins to midnight before I realized it was Thursday (and I needed to do a new post).
Anyway, I wore this to the Alvin Ailey dance performance last Saturday. The show is beautiful! Have you been?
The woman next to me kept talking to me about all these famous dancers, and finally I had to tell her "I don't know anything about dance, outside of what you do in the club."
She told me she assumed I was a dancer because of my bun. So funny! I would have thought it would have been because of the skirt, which kinda makes me feel like a teeny booper btw. I may need to retire it...
wearing: j crew cardigan, thrifted cami, urban skirt, aldo booties, michael kors watch, david yurman ring, earrings from nordstrom
worn to: alvin ailey show

"Finally I had to tell her 'I don't know anything about dance, outside of what you do in the club.'" AHAHAHA, girl you crack me up! I seriously laughed out loud in my lunch break room while reading that. I would have assumed you were a dancer too, but because of the top AND hair bun combo! Too funny!

I'm loving ALL of this, and silly girl! It was that adorable bun AND your gorgeous physique that made her think you were a dancer. That watch is to die for, did you get it recently?

Yes you do look like a lovely young dancer in her prime. I attended a production during the Christmas holidays last year but lost all the photos when my external drive crashed. The performance was captivating and Judith Jamison is my Godmother in my head. I'm a sucker for cardigans in any length, color and with extra decor. I can toss one in my handbag during the summer to throw over a sundress when inside a chilly location.
ReplyDeleteLove everything you’re wearing, your outfit makes you look younger.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the show was amazing! Love the outfit, def does make you look younger, as Sharda said above lol. It's cute though!!
