Boyfriend jeans are all the rage these days. I think I need some. I'm not really in to the idea of spending $200 on jeans at the moment, so I am going to check Gap and J Crew. If that doesn't work, I think I can get some cheap, maybe even thrifted, jeans and create this look on my own. Which ever way I go, I will be sure to post an update!

If you read my profile, you know that I am an assistant shoe buyer who, ironically enough, is not really in love with shoes. So many times I get all dressed up and when I put my shoes on, I wish that I could go barefoot. That's partially because I feel like most heels make me look like I have chicken legs, but more so because my shoe wardrobe is not up to par. Slowly, but surely I am correcting that. I had some “important” meetings at work today so I kept it professional. Kind of boring to look at in pics, I must say, but exciting for me b/c I’ve never worn this dress before, and I really do like it. I almost put on boots again this morning, but in going with the conservative theme, I opted for my oxford sandals instead. Tackling the day always seems a little easier when I love what I am wearing :) Too bad I don't have more of those days!

So anyone who knows me, knows that I am a very private person. No Facebooking, MySpaceing or Tweeting for me. But strangely enough, I've been intrigued by the idea of blogging for some time now, and finally, here I am...SIMPLY CHIC!

My battle over the blog was/is twofold:

1) For the most part, I don't have anyone to take pictures of me. BUT I decided that I am going to do my best to take them myself during the week, and hopefully get some better shots on the weekend when I come out of seclusion ;)

2) Are my clothes even that interesting? I love my style and I get compliments on what I wear, and although I stay abreast on all the latest trends, and I truly appreciate them, I certainly wouldn't call myself a trendy dresser. I definitely take on a more classic look, incorporating the latest and greatest here and there.

At any rate, I'm going to give this blogging thing a shot, and I hope you enjoy following my blog as much as I am going to enjoy putting it together and updating it.

Here I am before work this morning. I was inspired by the sun beaming in on me, but I am still not ready to let go of my boots :)
