BIRTHDAY (JUMP)SUIT II

Can I just tell you that I scored this pink snake print jumpsuit for $13 at Marshall's?! Talk about a steal! It could have been, $43 $33 and I would have bought it and thought to myself "this is a great deal", so $13?? Wow! As my grandmother would say, you can't beat that with an egg beater. 

And speaking of deals, I don't remember exactly what I paid for THIS bag (currently under $150), but she came in under what I budgeted for a nice black bag. I kid you not, I searched for years for the right bag at the right price and finally, I found her!

On another note, I'm headed to 3 countries in 5 days! Talk about a whirlwind. I won't be posting while I'm away, but as always you can join me on my trip via INSTAGRAM! Toodles!

WORK IT

I swore up and down that I would never work in a business casual office. In fact, at one point I didn't take a second round interview because the office (people, ambiance, outfits) was too stiff for me. Welllllllllllll guess what? Times have changed and so have I, and I've taken a new job at a company with a business casual dress code!

I was nervous and excited because on the one hand I thought that meant I would have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe but on the other hand — guilt free shopping! Turns out a lot of what I have in my closet will work for a business casual environment,  prime example being what I am wearing in this post. 

Aside from these new babies, which I bought as my comfy commuter & office pumps (ha!) and my statement necklace I won in a giveaway, nothing here is new or was bought for my new work wardrobe.

I didn't wear this exact look to work but with a slightly dressier pair of black pants I certainly could, and this would be considered business casual (in my mind at least). At the end of the day, I still work in eCommerce/corporate retail/fashion and I think bringing your own style to business casual is totally acceptable. Over on IG, I'm calling it #officechic.

BIRTHDAY (JUMP)SUIT

Well kids, if you follow me on INSTAGRAM you already know, this past weekend was my birthday weekend and this is what I wore on Friday night — just me and my birthday (jump)suit! Last year when I turned 30, I wanted so badly to wear a jumpsuit and I couldn't find the right one anywhere. Now, they are taking over my closest (wait for my next post) but this one just felt right for 31!
