WHAT TO WEAR: CHURCH

Oooops! I took and unplanned week off from the blog. Summer happens.

Hopefully you kept up with me on INSTAGRAM in the interim where I gave you a play by play of "The Weekend in The Life", #simplychicweekend and of course showed you what I was wearing.

This weekend was another busy one: dinner, concert, after party, picnic, birthday party, movies, SundayFunday day party, but not before I went to CHURCH of course. No matter how busy/tired/sleepy I am there's always time for church.

I was working on this post Sunday night to go live on Monday and I was too sleepy to say anything interesting so I said, "I'll just work on it tomorrow after work and post it first thing Tuesday morning". Well guess what? It's Monday after work and I'm hungry and sleepy and still don't have anything profound to say, so...Happy Tuesday! #bloggerconfessions

WHAT TO WEAR: CASUAL FRIDAY

When you work in an office that is already casual, what do you do on Casual Fridays? For me, typically I don't do anything different, with the exception of the days I have enough energy for a Friday post work rendezvous, and then I "dress up".  But, on this particular Friday, I did do something different. I wore Converse (gasp)! 

Converse/sneakers in the office — is it ever ok? I say yes, when A) your office is already casual and B) they are PINK!

DRESSY DRESS

I've been doing a lot of shopping in my closet lately. Between booking my big  vacay for the summer and purchasing 10th row tickets to see Jay & Bey, I'm having to tightening the purse strings a bit. With that said, I pulled this oldie but goodie out of my closet for a Mother's Day luncheon. Typically I use any excuse to buy a new dress, but I made the smart decision and did the total opposite by wearing something that's been with me for more than 5 years.
