j crew blazer, thrifted h&m cardi, f21 leggings, steven boots
I had an amazing time in Boston! I did not want to leave, and that is rare for me when I am out of town. Not only did I get to spend time with my b/f, I got to spend time with him in one of the most beautiful US cities I've ever visited. A small part of me thinks I am jaded b/c I was with him, but the more I talk to people who have been to Boston, I realize they share the same sentiments as me. It's a gorgeous city, full of character and charm with exquisitely dressed residents! I can not wait to go back.

no rhyme nor reason
There's no rhyme nor reason to what I am wearing....grey jeans, blue denim jacket, leopard cardi and so on and so forth. That's what's so great about fashion these days...anything goes. So when you fall asleep at 1:00 a.m., forgetting to lay out your clothes the night before and only have like 20 mins to get dressed, throw something on, preferably with some heels, walk with confidence and call it a day. That's what I did :)

white out
Anyone follow the no white after Labor Day rule? Clearly I don't :) Minus the open toe shoes, I think this is a look that translates well year round, which is why I wore it last Friday to work.
I bought the Badgley Mischka bag a couple of months ago, and not too long after that I picked up this Michael Kors tortoise watch to go with it. Now that it's Fall you will probably be seeing a lot more of both!!
Here's a better picture of the watch...

fashion police
i don't know why, but i like this a lot. maybe it's b/c her face is so stunning. i just wish she would have chosen a different shoe.
in the words of rachel zoe "i die". this picture does not do this dress justice at all.
love, love, love. this color is gorgeous, the neckline is fab, and the necklace is perfect. Wednesday, September 16, 2009

flying high
Did anyone check out the September Issue? I went into the movie thinking it was going to be about Anna Wintour's life, but I guess if I had read the synopsis, I would have known it was all about how the September Issue comes to formation. It's actually fairly similar to what I do at work. Very interesting...

hello lover
This is what I wore on my date with the b/f the night before he was moving to Boston. That night was very reminiscent of the Sex & The City episode when Big moves to the West Coast. The one thing missing was my "hello lover" Louboutins. I had planned on getting all dolled up, but I got off work an hour late, and had to wear what I wore that day. Despite my outfit snafu, the evening was perfect :)

Thank God I am lucky ;)

what's cooking?
I love aprons. I know it's a strange thing to love, but Anthropoligie has the cutest friggin aprons. I don't wear them to cook now, but I will when I am a wife. In the meantime, I buy dresses that remind me of aprons, like the one in the picture, and I pair them with cardigans that don't match anything, but the color is fab and the material is soft ;)

to dye for
I bought this AA skirt back in July and I wore it for the first time to hookah and drinks last Saturday night. Hookah/drinks was fun as always, and a late night Chinese food run was the perfect way to end the night!
I have to say congrats to my dear friend Nkechi who JUST GOT ENGAGED!!!

styled out
I am burnt out from my week of style out. For those of you who don't work in retail/merchandising, style out is the process buyers go through to determine what styles will be sold in stores, or in my case, sold in the catalog/ on the Web. You sit in a room full of merchandise for days, and analyze 5 million reports, and FIGHT for your product to be selected. It may not sound like it, but it is a grueling process, that can get very intense and ugly, but it's one of my fav parts of the job.

shopping for shoes
Last Friday I went shopping for shoes. Not in the mall, and not for my personal edification, but for work at the Atlanta Shoe Show. I wore this silk dress and it is pretty dressy (wore it to a wedding a year ago) but I felt like the brown blazer dressed it down, while making it professional at the same time.
