8 YEARS AND COUNTING

I took an unexpected hiatus, but I'm back today on the 8th anniversary of the inception of Simply Chic! And if you can believe it, it all started with the skirt I’m wearing, first featured in this post HERE! It's pretty cool to see how far this blog has come from me taking outfit pictures in the mirror to photo shoots around town with local photographers, partnering with brands, being featured on sites, attending conferences etc. etc. So, although it can feel like an annoying, low paying part time job at times, I truly still enjoy creating content, reading your comments, and checking out your blogs. And I’m looking forward to the next 8 years!

FINDING FLARES

If you remember in THIS post, I brought out my wide leg jeans because I was feening for flares and I couldn't find any that didn't cost way too much for something so trendy. Well Banana Republic to the rescue! For some starnge reason these on trend flares were on super sale and I got them around $30. Talk about deal of the day. Nonetheless, I'd love to find some that also cover my shoes. I think I need to go wider at the bottem and even longer to make that happen. If anyone has tips on altering flares to cover the shoe, please do let me know.
