BEACHY CLEAN

I love the Bay Area and Northern California, but we are definitely in short supply of warm beaches, and if you live in San Francisco, warm weather in general.  I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but because of the mild temps, we have warm blood. If the forecast says 65 and sunny that means bring out the short shorts and tank tops because it's gonna be hot ;) On this particular day my journey started at a very chilly 6:00 a.m., so I left the daisy dukes and bikini top at home and opted for a maxi skirt and crocheted sweater instead.

CARMEL BY THE SEA

I recently took an impromptu day trip to Carmel California and I was so impressed with the beautiful beach and the quaint town that I thought I'd share some of my pictures from the trip. Enjoy! 

Early morning overcast skies only add to the beauty of this beach.

The sand is white, smooth and pebble free, but beware of the kelp and flies that come with it!

Did I mention this town is quaint? 

I didn't get a chance to do one of my favorite things in life while in Carmel...EAT. But I did in Monterey. 

Lots of fresh seafood at Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf if you're into that sort of thing.

Lots of candy and other goodies if you're not. 

I personally recommend the clam chowder and hot crab sandwich at OLD FISHERMAN'S GROTTO.

WHAT TO WEAR: TO THE CLUB

I’m a once a quarter/special occasion party girl mainly because I am high maintenance when it comes to clubbing. I don’t want to wait in line. I want a place to put my purse and rest my feet. I don’t want to wave my hand for 10 minutes trying to get the bartenders attention and I don’t want to get bumped into as people pretend they don’t see my 5’2” petite frame. So the only way to avoid all of this is bottle service and we know that can get pricey, so as I said to start, I’m a once a quarter/special occasion party girl.

 

For this reason, I typically don’t buy “club clothes”. For what I do on the weekends, (lounges, dinners, day parties etc.) I don’t need a special wardrobe. So when I saw this dress on the clearance rack at Urban Outfitters, I almost left it.  But I’m so glad I didn’t! Nearly a year after I bought it, I dug it out of my closet (still in the bag) for my friend’s birthday party and I kinda love it!

7th OF JULY

Happy 7th of July!! Did you have a fun long weekend? I certainly did — perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and some outlet shopping. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the 238th birthday of our great nation than to help the economy with some retail therapy. 

O by the way, how do you like the new hair? Her name is YASMINE, she's a quick weave/half wig and I love her :)
