This was going to be a #TBT post, but these photos are not true throwbacks (they were taken in July) I just feel like they are because my hair was significantly longer than it is now.
I got a pretty sizable trim about 2 months ago and I was totally ok with it, until stumbling upon these pictures, and now I miss this length :( But on the other hand, something is telling me to go even shorter and get a bob.
I'll be saying goodbye to my 20's in the blink of an eye and I have never had a haircut....only trims meaning no more than 2 inches at a time. That's crazy right? Most adults cut their hair at some point before 30 I would assume. So maybe now is the time. What do you guys think? Should I go for it and do a bob or leave it alone so it can get back to this length sooner than later?
First of all let me say that I love your blog and I adore your style. Whether dressed up or dressed down every outfit is flawless, an uncompromising and unapologetic celebration of beauty. I love your penchant for rolled up sleeves. I love your eclectic moods of color and texture and the confidence with which you wear everything. Hair? Personally I prefer the shorter style as it frames and accentuates, rather than hides (a bit) and understates your face.
ReplyDeleteit's thoughtful comments and feedback like this that keep me blogging :) thank you so much!!!
Deletep.s. it could be 30 degrees outside and most likely my sleeves will be rolled. lol! thanks for noticing and of course reading!
I like!

I really really really like those boots :)
ReplyDeleteI would not cut it. To get ready for the DIRTY THIRTY, I would alternate with a curly reddish/brownish look.
ReplyDeleteGetting older is about discovering yourself and what better way to do that than with trying something different. I totally get those conflicting feelings of whether you should cut or not (I've been having the same argument in my head about going natural), but I like to think that it is hair and it will grow back. I vote, go for it!!!
ReplyDeleteAs fabulous as your long hair is, I say go for the bob! It'll give you more bounce and depth.
ReplyDeleteit's always a battle going back and forth with hair length, isn't it? sometimes i want to cut off all my hair when i look back at pics when i had a bob - but i know i'll regret it! ha
ReplyDeleteeither way.. you look fab as usual!

Hmm. I have short hair (not by choice but by genetics maybe, lol) and there are times when I long for long hair to throw into a bun. If you're not opposed to weaves, maybe try a short one and see if you like it?
ReplyDeleteAlways so well put together
ReplyDeletethose boots are too cute! Maybe get a tapered bob! that would be super cute on you and not too drastic :) I felt the same way after getting my hair cut in october, then I saw old pics and got sad too but I kinda love the change!

C's Evolution of Style
As a lover of switching up the hair I say go for it. Maybe a graduated bob so as not to be too much of a shock but change at this age transition is always a good thing, hair is so indicative of who we are and what we are feeling at any given moment that it can be hard to let go of but always worth giving it a try!
ReplyDeleteI think a layered bob would look great on you. longer in the front and then shorter towards the back. I LOVE when I have my hair in a bob style! GO FOR IT GIRL! It's hair, it'll grow back :)
ReplyDeletenice outer dear! you look so chic and stunning xx

I like the current length its def more mature and the longer length is younger. Youre fab regardless!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking a bob, slightly above the shoulder, with long side-swept bangs.
ReplyDeleteure so cool I love it ure style is awesome xx

Cute outfit! :)
ReplyDeleteI checked out all the length links, and although I love your longer hair...I'd still say, GO for it! Bob cuts are super chic. Let us know what you decide. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S.
DeleteThanks for reminding me of your gorgeous, leather-sleeve jacket! LOL
The hair will grow back. If you want a change, go for it!
ReplyDeleteLove the naturalness of these pics.
ReplyDeleteBoss.
I'm over 30 (YIKES) and have never had a true cut either. I think that my face is too round for me to wear short(er) hair plus I am VERY LAZY when it comes to hair care (unlike most black women). If you're looking for "something new" as you enter this new decade in life then a hair cut is definitely the way to go. With the great personal style you have, a cut is bound to be the perfect accessory!
