I hate shopping. Yep, you read that correctly. I HATE SHOPPING. Especially in a store, and especially when I'm shopping for something specific. It's a totally different story if I get an email that says "Take an extra 30% off" and I click through and I buy a random sweater. That, I quite enjoy.
But when I find out that I am going to a gala in less than 2 weeks, I don't want to have to go shopping for a dress because of course with my luck, I won't find one.
Lucky for me I have a closet full of things just sitting there waiting for the perfect occasion to make their debut. And the occasion for this half-cape black and white cocktail dress was the
100 BLACK MEN Gala. So the lesson is, when people tell you don't buy it if you don't need it, don't listen. Because you'll be struggling and stressing trying to find the right dress or right top or right shoes, when you could be stress free in 6 months or 12 months shopping in your own closet.
Now if you can't afford it, please don't buy it—that's a whole 'nother story :) Otherwise, happy shopping!
