no anthro_pologies

If anyone wants to surprise me with a gift (that I will LOVE) they should go to Anthropologie. That store can honestly do little to no wrong in my opinion. I love their coffee table books. I love their dresses. I love their door/drawer knobs. And as evident in this post I love their SKIRTS! Got this one almost a year ago in Boston for such a great price, and yes, this is my first time wearing it. Actually it's my second time. I had to throw it back on three days after I wore it JUST so the b/f could take some pictures. Blogger confessions ;)

and we're back...

I'm back from my trip, back from my blogger break and back to hitting the books harder than ever before as the end of the semester is less than a month away. Yikes!
I spent some time in Savannah for my friend's wedding (hope to be able to share pictures) but the majority of my time was spent in Atlanta, doing what I do best, running the streets!
The trip was perfect...only would have been better if I had not discovered that my new favorite shoes are the most uncomfortable suckers known to man! Hate when that happens...
An added bonus of the trip was that I got to see the b/f! A friend of mine asked me "what is your thing" meaning me and the b/f and the first thing that came to mind was FOOD! We love to eat out. We were with each other for 1 full day and managed to make it to 4 different restaurants. Ridiculous, I know...
We also spent some time in Piedmont Park
People watching and testing out our photography skills. Good times!

at last...

Instead of watching the Super Bowl this year, I went shopping and thank goodness I did because I finally got my hands on a peach blazer. It's been on my wish list for literally over a year and I'm so happy to finally have one. You can't really see the true color against the busy print and the bright sun, but don't fret. I'll be wearing it again soon :)

worn to: dinner at MISS PEARL'S JAM HOUSE and this is what I had...
porterhouse pork chop with soft rosemary polenta, bacon braised greens and smoked tomato gravy...there wasn't a drop of food left on my plate :)

O! Almost forgot to mention that I am going back to my favorite city (ATL) for a while and I probably won't be posting during that time. But please follow me on TWITTER. I'll try to upload some twitpics of what I'm wearing while I'm away.

joyeux mardi gras

Happy Fat Tuesday!!!! As a semi devout Catholic I should be out partying but I have a final tomorrow :(
So instead, I indulged in a little retail therapy before class today because I think I am giving up shopping for Lent.
I should be giving up heels because my feet have been KILLING ME lately.
But I am too short for that to ever happen, so I will just show my flats some extra love for a while.
Anyway, school is taking over my life so please bare with me as I do my best to be a good blogger and blog reader :)
And if you just can't get enough of me, of course you can always follow me on TWITTER

seasonless

I read on someone’s blog that they don’t like taking spring/summer items and translating them into fall looks, and I thought to myself “you’re missing out”.

This little t-shirt dress by Banana is so lightweight and perfect for the warmer months, but throw on some tights, booties and a denim shirt and you’re good to go for fall/winter.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I’m supposed to be going into reclusion until I leave for Atlanta in a few weeks in order to get all my work done (yawn). We’ll see how that works out :-/

And on that note, I’m off to do some statistics, or PR, or e-mail campaign planning, or marketing communications strategizing. Ugh! The list doesn't end…
